Meet Laura

Hi, I'm Laura and after 25 years of running and coaching runners I've learned that consistency is key to achieving life long running fitness

Like many of my clients I've faced the challenges of fitting runs into my life, dealing with setbacks and finding the motivation to keep going

What I discovered is it’s not about pushing harder - it's about staying consistent and motivated. By focusing on small manageable steps, working towards your running goals - positive running vibes happen

My Approach

Over the past decade I’ve coaching hundreds of runners. My coaching philosophy works for real people with real lives:

My Qualifications

I'm a fully qualified UKA Event Group Run Coach and have been coaching runners for over 10 years. I also work as a Coach Developer and Assessor for Scottish Athletics, helping train the next generation of running coaches

Beyond running, I'm a RYT 500 Yoga & Breathwork Instructor. This holistic approach helps my clients build not just physical strength, but the mental resilience and a deeper understanding of their motivations

How does it work

Q: How do I get started?

A: Simple, please press the ‘get started’ or ‘contact’ button to arrange a chat. We’ll talk through your running history, health, goals and dreams. If we proceed I will create a 30 day Plan for you and we will schedule regular updates

Q: I'm over 45 and worried about injury - how do these plans keep me safe?

A: Safety is my top priority. Your plan will be unique to you taking into consideration your fitness level and any health issues. All plans include proper warm-ups, cool-downs, recovery days, and gradual progression

Q: I've tried running before but never stick with it - what makes this different?

A: My philosophy is ‘train clever’, ‘intelligence over intensity’ and ‘focus on longevity’. After 25+ years running and 10+ years coaching, I've learned consistency isn't about willpower – it's about having the right approach that fits your life

Time & Schedule

Q: What's included in the run training plans?

A: Each plan includes a 30 day training schedule, warm-ups, cool-downs, adaptation/modification options, and ongoing coach support

Q: What if I miss training days due to work/family commitments?

A: Life happens. Your plan will include options for adapting/rescheduling. You'll learn how to stay on track without starting over. Consistency over perfection is key

Q: How much time do I need to commit each week?

A: Plans range from 2-3 runs per week, each session lasting 10-30 minutes depending on your fitness level. They are designed to fit around busy schedules and life commitments

Fitness Level & Adaptation

Q: What if I can't keep up with the plan?

A: Every plan comes with adaptation/modification options. Too challenging - we’ll dial it back. Too easy - I’ll provide progression options. The key is finding your personal sweet spot

Q: Do I need to be able to run a certain distance before starting?

A: Not at all. Beginner plans start with as little as 1-2 minutes of jog/run/walk. We meet you exactly where you are right now

Q: I have health conditions - are these plans safe for me?

A: While plans are gentle and progressive, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise plan

Q: What if I have questions during the program?

A: I'm committed to helping you succeed through our weekly/monthly check-ins. When you start your plan we set up a times to speak via WhatsApp or email

Q: How quickly will I see results?

A: Most people feel great after their first run. You'll notice improvements in energy and mood within 2-3 weeks and fitness improvements around 4-6 weeks. We're building sustainable habits

Q: What if I don't see the results I'm hoping for?

A: Results vary for everyone, and consistency is key. If you're following the plan and still concerned, I'm here to help. Sometimes small tweaks make a big difference
